10 Spring Health Tips To Get a Head Start On Your Summer Body

First things first, there’s no one perfect summer body, so there’s no one ideal summer body plan. You need to decide what kind of summer body you want and plan accordingly. Ask yourself: do you want to slim down, tone up, or tan up before you beach up?

Secondly, you’ll have the most success if you start early and set realistic goals for your body that balance exercise, nutrition, and mental health. Since you’re already reading this, you’ve got a good head start, so don’t waste it.

Keep reading for some health and beauty tips for men that will spring your body into being summer-ready. These health tips are so good you could follow them year-round. There’s no reason you can’t always look this stunning!

1. Drink More Water

Water is essential for the body. I already know that you’re not drinking enough water. Hardly anyone is. Go and get a glass right now and drink it while you read the rest of this post. Water has many important jobs like aiding digestion, normalizing blood pressure, and protecting organs.

It’s also perfect for your skin and having healthy skin is attractive! Getting your body summer-ready is about more than just losing weight (though water helps curb your appetite, too). It’s about looking good and feeling good all over. Feeling good gives you a glow that no amount of sun ever will.

2. Spring for More Sleep

Another thing I know that you aren’t getting enough of is sleep. It’s a shame you can’t just go to the cabinet and grab a glass of catnap whenever you’re feeling drowsy. Alas, we have to be more intentional with rest. It’s worth your time and (non) energy, though.

The benefits of sleep, like water, are multifaceted. It’s good for your mental health, physical health, and weight loss. Most adults need between 7-9 hours to function correctly. It gives your mind and body time to recharge and even helps fight off disease. So, hit the sack, Jack, and don’t you come back tired no more, no more.

3. Mind What You Eat

I know this one is a bit less specific, but you should pay attention to what you eat, whether you want to gain or lose weight. Everybody has different needs, so everybody has different needs. You’ll be surprised at how much difference being mindful makes.

If you have the opportunity to, it’s a great idea to book an appointment with a nutritionist for a full, personalized workup. Seeing a nutritionist will help direct you to a diet that will help give you the results you’re looking for. There’s no one size fits all diet plan.

If you don’t have the time or money to visit the nutritionist, you can try to calculate your caloric needs here. There’s more to nutrition than just calories, but it’s an excellent place to start. You have to know how many you should be getting before adjusting to gain or lose weight.

4. Boost Testosterone Levels With PrimeGENIX Testodren

I find the vitamin aisle overwhelming, so another smart move would be to include your doctor in this step to cut out the guesswork or head online. Get bloodwork done to find out what your body is missing or low on, OR avoid the needles and check the internet.

It’s surprising how much your mood and energy levels can be affected by your hormones. Getting them back to normal (for you) levels will positively impact your diet plans and exercise routines, no matter what your goals are.

This change is especially true the older you get because hormone production naturally declines. A low testosterone level, for example, will slow muscle growth and cause (probably) unwanted weight gain. Knowledge is power, though, so you can boost yours with PrimeGENIX Testodren.

5. Build Up Some Muscle

Hopefully, after just following the first four steps, you’ll already be feeling better in your body. It’s easier to move on to this step of the plan when you feel well-rested and full of energy, thanks to all of your balanced hormone levels.

Luckily, there’s no shortage of workout plans, so you can be picky when selecting yours. Keep your body in mind; what’s it like now, and what are you shooting for? Do you want to lose weight, increase general fitness, or put on some muscle?

Maybe you want one; perhaps you want them all. The critical thing to remember is that it’s hard to build muscle while losing weight. You need to give your body time to do those things separately, so the sooner you get started, the better.

6. Or Slim it Down

Maybe your idea of a summer body isn’t muscly, and that’s okay. As I said previously, there is no one perfect summer body, so we should all play to our strengths. If you want to slim down, cardio will be your best friend.

Thankfully, there are so many ways to get your heart racing, like running, jumping rope, or swimming, just to name a few. The diversity makes it easier to tailor the workout to your body, and it allows you to keep your mind stimulated by changing things up.

It’s hard enough to work out, right? We don’t need it to be boring, too. That reminds me, upbeat workout music is a must.

7. Build Some Mental Muscle

We want our bodies to be in balance, so we also need to get a head start on our summer minds. All of these things are connected, too, so when we better our minds, we better our bodies. The exercises I recommend are deep stretching, yoga, or meditation.

Two of these- stretching and yoga- are physical workouts, but they are exceptional for your mind. They all focus on deep breathing, which reduces heart rate and anxiety and increases your sense of calm and well-being. Positive thoughts can also influence your body’s physical responses, like minimizing pain after surgery. Focus on man-ifesting (get it?).

8. Turn Up the Heat

Getting started on your tan before summer is absolutely vital. You don’t want to hit the beach on your first day and get burnt to a crisp. That only hurts your pride and your back, literally.

You want to keep your natural complexion in mind when setting summer tan goals, but everyone can reach their full potential. You just need to take your time and go little by little. You can hit the tanning beds or just sit outside for a few minutes a day.

9. Cut Out Alcohol

Now, cutting out alcohol altogether would be the best thing for weight loss and body health because when you drink, you occupy your liver with burning off the alcohol instead of body fat. If that feels like too much at once, you can get pretty far by just cutting out the beer.

Beer has more calories (150 on average) per glass than hard liquor, and you have to drink more to get to the same level of buzzed. Alcohol increases your appetite in general, too, but you tend to consume more fattening foods like pizza or wings when drinking beer.

An excellent tip to remember is that the lighter in color the drink is, the less sugar and calories there are in it, and the easier it is for your body to metabolize. So tequila, vodka, and gin are better choices than whiskey, scotch, or brandy. The best choice for dropping pounds is not to drink, but you can at least make healthier choices when you do drink.

10. Master Manscaping

Last but certainly not least is your hair. It’s part of your body, too, right? Well, it’s definitely a part of your first impressions which we’re trying to elevate to summer-ready here. Another benefit of starting this early is that you have time to experiment a bit and figure out what you like. Just like with your clothes, don’t be afraid to be different.

Hair means more than just what’s on your head. You can trim your beard, chest hair, armpit hair, and even your happy trail. Just because you’re hairy doesn’t mean you have to be unclean or unruly. The amount of hair you have is up to you, but you should take your appearance into your own hands.

Final Thoughts

If you missed it before, there is no one perfect summer body, so, unfortunately, there is no one ideal summer body workout plan. Don’t be discouraged, though. In fact, we should be encouraged by it because it means there are lots of ways to be correct—what a relief.

You can use these health tips as a basis to make a workout plan for your own summer body, whatever that looks for you. There is no “too early” either. The sooner you start, the better off you’ll be when June comes around.

There’s also no reason you have to stop trying to get your summer body. Yes, you do need rest, but you don’t have to cram a year’s worth of exercising into a two-month window. You can use all of these tips to make a complete lifestyle change that’ll make next year’s summer body even easier. So, what are you waiting for?
